The British Fusion Festival in Silesia
/12 — 21 November 1999/
I’m extremely glad that Ⅷ Ars Cameralis Festival is dedicated to the most interesting British phenomenons and their connections with Polish culture. I hope that this year’s edition will unconventionally show a mutual influence of both cultures. It’s worth mentioning that the Festival is organized in collaboration with the British Embassy and the British Council. This year’s Festival consists of 38 literary, musical, theatrical and visual events. All artistic events will take place in Silesian cities, such as Katowice, Pszczyna, Zabrze, Bytom, Chorzów, Tarnowskie Góry, Siemianowice Śląskie and Cieszyn.
It seems that Ⅷ Ars Cameralis Festival and its theme "The British Fusion Festival in Silesia" might be a crucial part of the discussion about Silesian multiculturalism. From this incontestable cultural diversity, with the strong historical background, we can derive patterns of outrightness and mutual tolerance. It’s a great privilege for Silesian Voivodeship, that on November 12 — 21 it will hold so many cultural and prestigious events. I’m sure that the festival program will be a confirmation that the culture of our region is an interesting and original proposition. I think, Dear Audience, you should find out about it yourself.
