Shut your eyes and see. /James Joyce
/4 — 26 November, 2016/
For twenty five years, quietly, secretly, somewhere between poems, between concert halls and clubs, between Chorzów, Katowice and Sosnowiec we encouraged you to shut your eyes in a way it becames a meaningful gesture. We filled the darkness, which occurs at that time, with colorful lights, different hope, pageant of twinkling afterimages, which transformed in time to real ideas. Closing eyes opens a whole new space to manage, creating it afresh. Inside yourself. We do not mean an escape from the world. On the contrary! Perhaps, you can fully understand the mechanisms controlling the world only after rejecting automatic and unconscious observation. Mechanisms you can not see. You have to understand them. At the time, closing your eyes becomes a protest. A type of refusal.
It is where this year’s edition of Ars Cameralis Festiwal is heading. Another feast, prepared for you with solicitude and great mindfulness in the selection of languages, topics and internal narrations. Hidden images, stories, collages of sounds and words. So close your eyes and see, hear, think through, draw your version of the same river, this feast, because it is available and everyone can join.
