At any moment, for coming and going (A chaque instant, à l`arrivée et au départ) — is the title of an exhibition of a French artist Carole Benzaken, which will take place at BWA Contemporary Art Gallery in Katowice during ⅩⅩⅣ Ars Cameralis Festival.
For over twenty years, Carole Benzaken has expanded in her creativeness the threads of clarity, depth and light. Today she starts an artistic dialogue with architecture. Her proposition is an attempt of fitting into the narrative about Silesia and its heritage, seen and interpreted from a different cultural space.
For the first time in Poland, within the exhibition will be presented an instalation consisting of 15 luminous tables Saviv, saviv. The instalation, developed especially for the Silesian exhibition, refers to the biblical vision of the Valley of Dry Bones from Book of Ezekiel (37:1 — 4). Ezekiel’s text revealed to the artist obviousness of the title Saviv, saviv as a figuration of pulsatory light poured into viscera of Polish ground. Thus, the work reaches its destination.
