"Silesia" at Intel Extreme Masters 2017

3 — 5.03.2017 | The International Conference Centre

Intel Extreme Masters is the most important and prestigous international e-sports tournament held in countries around the world.  For the fifth time in a row, one of the finals has been held in Katowice, Poland. This year’s edition gathered thousands of players and gamers from all around the globe.

At the lower hall of the International Conference Centre we created a space of the Silesian Voivodeship, where participants could relax. The space was inspired by green areas, which hold almost one third of the region’s territory. „The green island” created especially for the occasion provided a place to rest and tone down, it also allowed to taste free water from a source in Beskid Mountains. A geometric construction, located right in the middle of the stand, served as a base for installation Carbon created by Katarzyna Lamik.

The participants could play Hearthstone and meet with youtubers. Additionally, in the zone they could design and make their own linen backpack with a Silesian overprint. The zone was produced by Cultural Institution Ars Cameralis and arranged by Katarzyna Lamik and bro.Kat.
